tell me again how this fate thing works?
I’m quite bummed about it. I loved this little apartment, and all the pimp furniture I bought for it. As lonely as I am, I love living in my own space, decorating it just for me. Well, that didn’t last long. I’m tossing up whether to sell or store my furniture, am now trying to rehome Samson again (for the absolute last time – I’m sad, but resolved now), and I’ll be moving back to mum’s (this will be interesting) in an effort to clear at least one credit card and hopefully, hopefully, HOPEFULLY attempt that move to Canada again. Everyone thinks this is it for me, that this is finally my time. It feels like it, but I just think back to last year when I was literally weeks away from leaving the country and I stupidly got myself involved with someone. I don’t want to get myself swept up in the excitement of it this time. I’m being rational, practical, sensible (hence moving back in with mother to try and sort out my finances once and for all).
Though it should warrant a post all on its own (YAY!), my good friend Naim has gotten himself engaged and is getting married in Chicago in October, which means I’m hoping (and HINTING very blatantly) that I’ll get an invite, so I can go over for the festivities (and shopping! and food! and interesting strangers! and getting murdered in such a large city!) and tack on a mini-trip to Vancouver while I’m on that side of the world to see if I can get any job interviews. Not expecting much from this trip, but my contract at this job ends in February next year so that will be Go Time if nothing comes of the October trip.
I’ll spare you from too much of my worried ramblings – I’ve started a paper journal because I’m far too in my head nowadays. But I will tell you, now that I have my dream to focus on again, I’m feeling much more resolved about everything else.

You will most definitely be invited.
Without question.
Hang in there Sandy! You’re amazing.
